About us
Duel is a SaaS company on a mission to make Brand Advocacy the industry standard philosophy for building brilliant retail brands. It was founded by world record breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer. We exist to show that companies built for advocacy can change the world. In today’s hyper connected world in which social media is now twice the size of all other media channels combined and entirely user generated, the most successful brands are the ones investing in people and in community, not in ads.
The Duel Brand Advocacy Solution allows enterprise brands to do just that. We have onboarded over 60+ influential brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Charlotte Tilbury, Spanx, Victoria’s Secret, LUSH and Elemis. The Duel team’s global presence includes offices in New York City & London. Our team of 60+ is composed of psychologists, brand experts and community builders, combining cutting edge brand expertise with seasoned SaaS experience.
Backed by top European VCs, Duel recently announced a $16 million Series A, which will accelerate growth in the US from our base in New York, and bring our entirely AI driven product vision to life to equip brands with the solution needed to drive growth through thousands of advocates, customers, creators and brand ambassadors.
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to own delivery across two of Duel’s most critical functions: Product and Programme Operations. This is a delivery focused role, not a people management position. You will be the person who makes sure that complex, cross functional work actually ships on time, to scope, and with full visibility for everyone who needs it.
You’ll work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Programme Ops, ensuring that initiatives move from idea through execution with clear plans, well managed dependencies, and transparent status reporting. Whether it’s a product build spanning multiple squads or a programme operations initiative rolling out across our enterprise brand portfolio, you’ll be the one creating structure, driving accountability, and unblocking delivery.
The business outcome is critical: reduce delivery friction, increase execution velocity, and give leadership confidence that work is progressing as planned. We need someone who brings cohesion without bureaucracy, structure without bottlenecks, and clarity without oversight.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Will…
Lead project planning and execution for initiatives across Product and Programme Operations, from scoping through to launch and retrospective
Create and maintain delivery plans, timelines, resourcing allocations, and status reports that give stakeholders a single source of truth on progress
Build and manage RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) for every project, proactively escalating blockers before they become problems
Define clear milestones, acceptance criteria, and delivery checkpoints so everyone knows what “done” looks like at every stage
Run project kick offs that align all contributors on scope, timelines, roles, and success criteria from day one
Facilitate stand ups, stakeholder check ins, and steering updates as needed, calibrating the cadence and format to the project’s complexity and pace
Lead retrospectives that produce concrete improvements, not just discussion, and track follow through on action items
Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, and Programme Ops to resolve dependencies and keep work flowing
Provide Stakeholder Visibility and Communication
Deliver clear, concise status updates that are suitable for leadership consumption without needing interpretation or follow up questions
Maintain well defined escalation paths so that issues reach the right decision makers quickly and with the right context
Translate technical complexity into plain language for non technical stakeholders, and translate business urgency into actionable priorities for delivery teams
Build trusted relationships across functions by being reliable, transparent, and consistently following through
Shape Delivery Approach in Ambiguous Environments
Work with Product and Ops leaders to define the right delivery approach for each initiative, whether that’s agile sprints, kanban, phased rollouts, or something bespoke
Bring structure to ambiguous work by breaking complex problems into sequenced, manageable deliverables with clear owners
Continuously improve delivery processes, templates, and rituals based on what’s working and what’s not
Build lightweight governance that protects quality and predictability without slowing teams down
We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have…
5+ years in project management, programme management, or delivery management roles within a enterprise grade product environment
Direct experience managing cross functional delivery involving Product, Engineering, and Design teams, ideally in a scale up or high growth context
Hands on experience creating and maintaining delivery plans, RAID logs, timelines, and status reporting for concurrent projects
Proven track record of shipping complex initiatives on time by proactively managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
Experience building delivery processes from scratch or improving ad hoc execution into repeatable, scalable systems
Technical and Strategic Capabilities
Proficiency with modern delivery and collaboration tooling including Linear, Jira, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce executive ready updates, decision documents, and project briefs
Systems thinking and process design ability. You naturally see how to structure work for predictability, create frameworks that scale, and build processes that don’t require heroic effort
Strategic mindset to connect delivery execution to business outcomes. You understand that shipping is not the goal; shipping the right thing at the right time is
Comfort working across both product delivery and operational programme contexts, adapting your approach to suit different types of work
Bonus Points For
Experience in brand advocacy, influencer or creator programmes, or community-led marketing, with a clear understanding of how brands mobilise people, not just platforms.
Familiarity with programme operations, customer success operations, or adjacent functions that support product delivery.
Background working with enterprise retail or DTC brands, comfortable operating in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
Formal certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum is advantageous, though demonstrated delivery and competence are valued more highly than credentials.
Person
You bring structure and clarity to fast-moving environments where it does not always exist. You enjoy turning complex, cross-functional work into plans that are clear, realistic, and accountable.
You naturally think in terms of dependencies and sequencing. When a new initiative is proposed, you immediately consider what needs to happen first and who needs to be involved.
You are confident challenging unrealistic timelines with evidence, while staying pragmatic enough to move forward with imperfect information and adjust as needed.
You operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels. You can shape the overall delivery approach while staying close enough to the detail to spot risks early and address them.
You are comfortable presenting updates to senior stakeholders and equally confident facilitating working sessions to unblock teams.
You see project management as a performance driver, not an administrative function. You focus on helping teams move faster, with greater focus and accountability.
