About us
Duel is a SaaS company on a mission to make Brand Advocacy the industry standard philosophy for building brilliant retail brands. It was founded by world record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis.
We exist to show that companies built for advocacy can change the world. We believe there’s a better way to build businesses, and we seek to prove that caring for people over short-term sales builds Brand, which in turn yields long-term and exponential profit returns thanks to the advocacy it drives.
The Duel Brand Advocacy Solution allows enterprise brands to do just that, scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates, customers, creators and brand ambassadors. We’re proud today that 60 brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Charlotte Tilbury, Spanx, Victoria’s Secret, LUSH and Elemis (to name a few, but not to name some household names that we can’t talk about… yet) are doing just that. The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders, combining cutting-edge brand expertise with seasoned SaaS experience.
The Role
At Duel, we build once and scale it everywhere.
We’re looking for a bold, curious, versatile designer who loves brand as much as craft. You’ll sit at the centre of our creative engine, owning visual direction across brand, marketing, campaigns and events. You’ll report to the Head of Brand Marketing and help keep the Duel brand tight, the work brave, and the team buzzing.
You’ll have real creative freedom and genuine ownership, backed by a team that encourages curiosity and quick experiments. We’re building a new kind of marketing powered by people, not algorithms. The work you ship will influence how people visualise Duel today and as we grow.
It’s a rare chance to build a brand from the inside and do work you’ll be proud to put your name to. We’re flexible, too: work remotely anywhere in the UK, with regular in-person sessions across key locations.
We’re looking for someone who will…
You’ll own the execution of Duel’s visual identity, from top-of-funnel campaigns to internal decks.
You’ll evolve the Duel brand look and feel so it stays consistent, distinctive and unmistakably Duel, while building templates, guidelines and design systems so we ship faster without dropping quality.
You’ll partner closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and the wider team to concept and deliver standout campaigns.
You’ll work closely with marketing, product marketing, sales and CS to meet needs and multiply impact.
Your creative thinking will be as strong as your visuals, combining smart strategy in, sharp work out, keeping your work fresh without losing the thread of the brand.
You’ll design across the full kit: email, social, web, decks, paid, print and events.
You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing and Customer Success to make creative moves that make every touchpoint land with our ICP: senior brand marketers at ambitious consumer brands.
You’ll help evolve the website for consistency, clarity and conversion, working with dev partners and the marketing team to push UX, layout and creative live.
You’ll keep the engine running smoothly by maintaining and expanding libraries, file structure and assets.
You’ll set the standards, share the templates and keep QA tight, you’re the go-to for “is this on-brand?”
We’d love to hear from you if…
Have 3–5 years in graphic/visual/brand design (agency or in-house) and a portfolio that shows identity, campaigns, digital & layout systems.
You’re an expert in Figma and Adobe CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), comfortable in Canva, Keynote & Google Slides.
You obsess over layout, type and visual storytelling, you sweat the spacing and the seconds.
You can design inside a system and know when to stretch or evolve it.
You’re organised, clear and calm when juggling multiple projects.
You see feedback as gift, collaborate well, and elevate ideas with smart, curious collaboration
You’re brand-obsessed and hungry to raise the creative bar at Duel.
Bonus points if you can make pixels move; motion, animation, or quick video edits.
The Dueligan Culture
We want to build a remarkable company with remarkable people and a remarkable culture that you will want to shout from the rooftops about. Advocacy is our north star, both for our customers and our employees.
A High Trust, Tight Ship, full of Utterly Lovely & Bloody Brilliant People doing their Best Work Together
We value trust and freedom above all else. Yet this must be combined with deep ownership, execution, and clear, candid communication. If this is not how you are at Duel, or you break that trust, you will not be around for long.
Dueligans combined are the largest shareholders in Duel. We take that concept of ownership seriously.
In-person and remote working balance ...
We do much of our best work as a team together in the office, which is why we are only hiring people within a commutable distance of our London or New York offices. However, we also know that we do our best work alone at home, and we all need to be able to balance work with life, childcare commitments, and other responsibilities. The office philosophy is hybrid, where you're encouraged to be in the office a few days a week, namely when your team will be there.
However, the name of the game with everything we do is freedom and flexibility. So you do, as long as it's not at the expense of others.
Duel Perks and Package
We have a growing benefits package, including;
Flexible working hours - if you need to fit around childcare or need to work around your life, we understand.
Around 32 days of Annual Leave (28 excluding bank holidays and an extended break between Christmas and New Year, when we close the office). On-going training where required.
