We’re looking for a part-time Finance Manager to join our fast-growing Mar-tech business. As a crucial part of the team within a diverse role, you will oversee all things finance - working across the team to manage end-to-end accounts.

The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon, Treatwell, Bain, Mimecast and Lululemon as well as young entrepreneurs, psychologists and other exceptional talents.
THE ROLE
The role will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the CFO to be responsible for the day-to-day management of all operational finance processes and financial reporting tasks.
Revenue Cycle
Continuously improving the interface between the Commercial Team and all new customers
Managing the billing cycle for new and existing customers (e.g. raising sales invoices, purchase orders (if applicable), cross-checks, gap, etc.) Applying agreed payment terms, chasing overdue invoices, escalating, etc. effectively across all accounts, establishing automated payments (e.g. direct debit) on recurring invoices
Commissions (floats)
Managing Key point of contact for all customers (which are major brands)
Spend Cycle
Managing payment runs and the procure-to-pay cycle, including raising PO’s, invoice processing, supplier reconciliation, supplier payment runs and new supplier onboarding via Xero
Reporting actual spend against forecast and performing weekly reconciliations of all bank accounts
Management of order-to-cash cycle, including the processing of orders, raising sales invoices, reconciling customer accounts and ensuring settlement of all accounts in line with company terms and conditions
People
Management of Monthly UK Payroll
Maintaining the People FIle
PAYE/NI
ERS Filing (re-share options awarded/returned)
P11Ds / P45s
Accounting
Obtaining and presenting data for monthly reporting, including a Trial Balance review and producing a ‘Month End Deck’
Chart of Accounts and the closing Month End and Annual Accounts
Reviews and coding of the General Ledger (with the business leads)
Cashflow Forecast (every two weeks) prior to payment runs
Preparation and submission of all HMRC returns including VAT, PAYE etc.
THE PERSON
Attention to detail
Desire to build out processes to allow for scaling
Xero, GoCardless, Paypal, experience
EXPERIENCE
Experienced IATI qualified or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
3-5 years experience in an accounting role within a dynamic, growing organisation.
Strong Excel experience
Experience of the Xero accounting system is an advantage, but not essential.
