We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our fast-growing, tech scaleup.
In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to Mid-Market and Enterprise brands around the world to educate them on Duel’s capabilities - the most powerful Brand Advocacy Platform on the market. Through cold outreach, you’ll introduce incredible brands to the Duel technology - helping them to find opportunities to grow through Brand Advocacy.

Duel was founded by world-record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis.
They believed that purpose-led brands are changing the way we all live and set out to define how the greatest brands of tomorrow grow through Brand Advocacy. Duel exists to prove that caring for people and planet builds brand, which builds long-term and exponential profit returns.
Our Brand Advocacy Platform allows mid-level to enterprise brands to do just that - scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates and brand ambassadors. We’re proud today that brands such as Monica Vinader, Charlotte Tilbury, Rab, BeautyPie, Mint Velvet, Neom and Tropicfeel (to name a few) are doing just that.
The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon, Treatwell, Bain, Mimecast and Lululemon as well as young entrepreneurs, psychologists and other exceptional talents.
THE ROLE
Your role will be to identify, engage and nurture prospective clients. Oftentimes acting as the first point of contact for our potential Brand Partners, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Duel’s top-of-the-funnel activity is generating leads for our Brand Advocacy Consultants to close.
- Lead Generation
Identifying, sourcing and building a network of marketing professionals at brands through email, cold calling, LinkedIn and other channels
Getting leads on the phone through learned cold calling techniques
Networking, opening doors and developing relationships with potential contacts
Creating Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to pass on to our Brand Advocacy Consultants
- Qualification Calls
Holding qualification calls with brands to help educate them on the various Duel offerings, as well as working out the best course of action for the support we can offer
- Product
Through training, you will use your detailed understanding of the Duel product and how it works, and be able to use critical thinking skills to align a brand’s specific need with the power of Duel
- CRM
Using our CRM (HubSpot) to track all your conversations so you never lose sight of the brands in our community
- Market and Industry
Having a passion for the brand and retail industry: how it works, who fits in it and how to navigate it

EXPERIENCE
Specific experience may help you get started, but it isn’t required for this role. If you have the desire and drive to learn, grow and build, this could be the perfect fit for you
Relevant experience may include:
Sales/Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR) experience in a similar role
Experience working at a brand or retailer
Experience working in a high-growth tech startup
WHAT WE OFFER
Flexible working hours after you complete your onboarding period - if you need to fit around childcare, or need to pop out for a weekly tennis class - we will work around it with you!
Hybrid working - minimum 2 days a week in the office for coaching/training as part of your onboarding period
28 days holiday excluding public holidays and a break over Christmas

Competitive salary - £30k basic, £54k OTE
