Sales Development Representative (SDR)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our fast-growing, SaaS Startup. You'll probably have experience in an SDR/MDR role & are looking for a new challenge!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our fast-growing, Martech SaaS Start-Up. 

In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to brands around the world to populate and nurture Duel’s community of incredible brand builders. You’ll then be introducing these brands to the Duel suite of technology and strategy offerings - figuring out how you can help them grow through Brand Advocacy. You’ll probably be looking to leverage your past cold calling and lead generation experiences (SDR/MDR/ market development rep) to develop working relationships with potential clients and help us create the demand for the Duel Brand Advocacy SaaS platform. 

THE COMPANY

Duel was founded by world-record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis. They set out to develop both the technology and methodology that enables purpose-led brands to drive organic growth, powered by communities of advocates.

Duel’s Brand Advocacy Platform allows brands to do just that - scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates. This unprecedented ability to manage their communities is built around programs that engage and retain customers, accelerating word-of-mouth sales.

The Duel team is made up of psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon and Lululemon. The platform is used by brands such as Monica Vinader, Frugi, Rab, KUHL and Tropicfeel, and the team has consulted for over 450 brands including Amex, Travelex, M&S, Philips, Boots, Schuh and TopShop.

The Duel team is also especially proud of being featured in Gartner’s ‘Cool Vendor’ Retail Marketing category.

THE ROLE

You will create and nurture a network of brand builders, and drive distribution for all of Duel’s educational and marketing content and activities. Your goal will be to set up and run discovery calls to educate potential brand partners, as well as work out the best way Duel, can support them in their needs, either through our exciting community or powerful technology. 

Nobody wants to be sold to today, marketers least of all.  As we help brands grow through the advocacy of their community, so we always ensure community is key to our own growth.  

For this reason, we have a very consultative and supportive approach to sales. In this role, you will act as the engine that grows our Community of brand builders.  This community drives demand for the product, so when a brand is interested in our services, you will pass them to our Brand Advocacy Consultants who work directly with brands to deliver our services.

  • Demand Generation 
    • Sourcing and building a network of marketing professionals at brands through email, LinkedIn and other channels
    • Networking, opening doors and developing relationships with potential contacts 
  • Discovery Calls
    • Holding discovery calls with brands to help educate them on the various Duel offerings, as well as working out the best course of action for support we can offer
  • Relationship building and networking
    • Feeding prospects into the Duel community, and maintaining ongoing relationships with them
    • Joining the dots to connect different brand builders so they can help each other
  • Product
    • Through training, you will use your detailed understanding of the Duel product and how it works, and be able to understand how to can support a brand's specific need
    • Working with a development team to ensure new features and ideas are implemented
  • CRM
    • Using the companies customer relationship management platform to track all your conversations so you never lose track of brands in our community
  • Market and Industry
    • The brand and retail industry, how it works, how to navigate it

EXPERIENCE

  • Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Marketing Development Representative (MDR) experience in a similar role preferred  
  • Experience building and nurturing a community, social media following or network
  • We want to see that you’re the kind of person who is passionate about and involved in the things you love. These may include hobbies, sports, social events, music… whatever you’re deeply passionate about
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a high growth tech startup

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK


WHAT WE OFFER

  • Full remote option - we’re a remote-first company, so if you don’t need to be in the office then you can do the work required from anywhere in the world (Google Hangouts is a wonderful thing). Ideally, we would like you to come to London around once a month to connect with the team.
